FAQ

Why should I take wedding lessons?

  • A choreographed first dance is a simple & beautiful way to elevate your wedding day. How often have you attended weddings where the guests awkwardly watch the newlyweds sway back and forth during their first dance?
  • Enrolling in wedding dance lessons gives you a chance to create a memorable moment for your reception that will stay with you forever!
  • You won’t just learn a dance routine for the wedding; you’ll also learn how to dance together as a couple. This is an invaluable gift that will stay with you for the rest of your lives! Instead of being at the bar at other social gatherings & events, you’ll find joy on the dance floor 🙂

What can we expect at our first lesson?

  • After answering a few questions about your venue, wedding attire, and what you have in mind for your dance, you’ll be guided through some basics by one of our highly-trained instructors.
  • You’ll start to learn parts of your wedding dance on your very first lesson, and leave with a plan of action between now and your big day.

How much does it cost?

  • This depends on your dance wishes! If you just want a simple dance, a few lessons might do the trick. If you dream of something a little more complex & fun – that’ll take a bit more time. And if your dream is a Dancing With The Stars sensation, you could be looking at months, even up to a year.
  • It really depends on how quick you learn the moves, how flexible your schedule is to attend lessons, and the difficulty level of your dance choreography. Our instructors are great at figuring out a plan that’ll work for you during your first lesson.

Do I have to decide on a song before my first lesson?

  • Nope! If you haven’t decided on a song, your instructor will go over basic steps that go to any style of music. If you have a vision for your dance, our instructors can also recommend a few songs or styles to explore. And once your song choice is made, they’ll help you personalize it to the music.

How many months in advance should I come in before the wedding?

  • The sooner the better! We know that planning a wedding can be stressful and quite costly. Coming in earlier means you get to enjoy the experience of learning your dance without an oncoming deadline. It also allows you for more practice if you need it, and room for any extra lessons you may need outside of your lesson plan. We want your first dance to be the least stressful task of your wedding planning!
